Hello, I'm Kathy-Ann Dougan, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California, and a Christian counselor and coach. My faith isn't separate from my work — it's the foundation of it. I utilize brief and long-term evidence-based clinical methods alongside an awareness of our spiritual humanness. Areas of attention for clients may be anxiety, depression, relational struggles, life transitions & life stage changes. I bring both professional training and honest, unpretentiousness into every session. I'd be honored to support you through your process towards healthy change & finding solutions.
I received my Masters in Clinical Social Work from USC, focusing on Clinical Mental Health, Psychotherapy practice, and strengths-based systems of recovery from mental illness. I grew up in the Bay Area and have been working in Mental Health in Los Angeles since 2010.
I have worked with diverse groups of people across the life span, of all sexual/gender orientations, and have a particular amount of experience working with adults 18-55 years old.
I’m grateful to have a career that allows me to be authentically myself and spend my days talking deeply about things that matter. I love working with motivated, bright people who know they have a lot to offer, but feel a bit blocked. I find great joy in helping people unblock to find ease and authenticity in their own lives.
My passion is helping individuals find healing, balance, and inner strength. With compassion and care, I support clients as they navigate life’s challenges, building resilience, self-awareness, and emotional well-being along the way.I provide evidence-based treatment tailored to each person’s needs, drawing on mindfulness, trauma-informed approaches, and personalized care plans. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where clients can reconnect with themselves and develop the tools for lasting wellness.
I specialize in working with individuals from a depth psychological lens, meaning that my work is rooted in a deep respect for and inclusion of the mysteries and paradoxes of life. I believe that we each have a unique path to finding and cultivating the most authentic and nourishing possibilities for ourselves. I specialize in work with eating disorders, body autonomy, and the intersection of psychology and spirituality.
