My name is Chemal (Sha-mall). I have a Latino - Caribbean background and prescribe to the label of islander. Where I’m from they use the term “crazy people” without clear understanding of what it truly means, but as a therapist and person, I believe differences exist beneficially and I try to understand them all. I aspire to be my best everyday inside and outside of therapy. I love nature, basketball, family and exploring the mind. Therapy is not just a career for me, but a passion.
Lalanea (pronounced Luh-Lane-Yah) has worked for years in case management, education, and foster care. Lalanea graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Women’s Studies and with a Master of Social Work. Between those degrees, she earned a Master of Public Affairs with a Nonprofit Concentration from UNC Greensboro. Lalanea is a North Carolina board-certified licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and a Kansas board-certified licensed specialist clinical social worker (LSCSW). Lalanea is located in Kansas and is entirely offering telehealth appointments; however, NC is her other home.
Hi, my name is Kiersten Kelley, LCSW (she/her). I am here to provide access to quality teletherapy and mental health and social justice resources. As a mixed Lesbian woman, I see every day how environments and systems can affect our mental health and ability to heal and feel safe. That is why social justice and counseling go hand in hand in finding liberation. I specialize in working with LGBTQ adults with autism, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and trauma.
