I’m Tori, a fully licensed independent clinical social worker, Certified Holistic Counselor, and Certified Brainspotting Practitioner. Over the years, I’ve worked with people in many different settings, but I’ve found that I especially love working with women and young adults who are trying to find their way back—or forward—to themselves.
Many of the women I work with are the people everyone else counts on. They may be successful, capable, caring, and getting things done while privately struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship patterns, or the weight of past experiences. I also have experience supporting women healing from gender-based violence, including intimate partner violence and sexual trauma.
I also really enjoy working with young adults ages 18–25. Becoming an adult can be exciting, confusing, lonely, overwhelming, and sometimes all of those things at once. You may be figuring out who you are, what you want, relationships and friendships, family dynamics, school or work, independence, or why everyone else seems to have this whole adulthood thing figured out when you definitely do not.
I don’t believe you need to become a different person to feel better. I believe you already have strengths, resources, and parts of yourself worth trusting. Therapy can help you understand yourself more deeply, let go of patterns that no longer serve you, develop new tools, and build a life that feels more like your own.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. My clinical experience spans large higher education and healthcare systems, and I currently maintain a small private practice.
I work with clients across the lifespan on a wide range of concerns, including:
Depression, anxiety, stress, and burnout
- Life transitions, grief, and trauma
- Self-esteem, imposter syndrome, and relationship challenges
- Workplace, family, college, healthcare, and graduate medical trainee mental health
- Caregiver stress related to eldercare
- Cultural, identity, and adjustment-related concerns
My therapeutic approach centers on humility, respect, curiosity, and a strength-based lens for all clients.
I received my master’s degree from Columbia University in the City of New York and am an independently licensed Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, with over 25 years of clinical experience. I would describe myself as energetic, empathic, and positive, with a good sense of humor. I believe in a client-centered approach and am committed to meeting my clients where they are in their lives. I am fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese.
I prioritize providing identity-safe, LGBTQ+ affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming care. I work with teens and adults to provide a space where you can freely explore life's intermittent chaos, relationship struggles, and when life feels generally overloaded. You are the expert of your experience, so my role will be to support you through navigating life when it feels a bit messy.
I value the therapeutic alliance, striving for a collaborative, flexible, and safe journey as we work together on your unique path.
I use a holistic approach, merging psychology and spirituality to help individuals achieve their goals, develop coping skills, gain insights, and build a sense of empowerment. Common areas explored in my practice revolve around themes such as anxiety/depression, grief, life purpose, relationships, existential meaning, and the journey toward healing.
My primary areas of experience are trauma and addiction, and I have a deep passion for helping people heal from experiences that have impacted the way they see themselves, their relationships, and their lives. I understand that coping strategies often develop for a reason. Rather than judging those behaviors, I want to help you understand what they have been trying to do for you, while working together to develop healthier ways of moving forward.
I don’t see you as a diagnosis, a collection of symptoms, or a list of things that need to be fixed. I see you as a whole person with a story. Your experiences matter, your feelings matter, and you deserve a space where they can be heard.
Therapy can be uncomfortable at times. Healing often asks us to look at things we’d rather avoid. But you shouldn’t have to do that while feeling judged, criticized, or alone. My goal is to create a therapeutic relationship where you can laugh, cry, be angry, feel confused, ask difficult questions, or simply sit with whatever you’re experiencing—and know that you are still accepted.
You don’t have to be “better” before you come to therapy. You don’t have to hide the messy parts. You can come exactly as you are.
If you’re looking for a therapist who will genuinely listen, meet you with compassion, and walk alongside you through the process of healing, I would be honored to take that journey with you.
I think this version captures something especially important about your philosophy: the relationship itself is part of the treatment. It also avoids making you sound like you’re promising to “fix” someone, while still conveying genuine passion for helping people heal.
Welcome! I provide individual therapy for college/ graduate students, professionals, and adults navigating anxiety, OCD, trauma, crises of meaning, and the deeper questions that arise in times of uncertainty. Many of my clients come in feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected- from themselves, others, or a clear sense of purpose. Our work together explores not just symptom relief, but what it means to live more fully and authentically. Together, we reconnect with your values, develop practical skills for navigating life's challenges, and explore the deeper patterns and past experiences that may be shaping your present.
With a warm, respectful style and sense of humor, clients say that they easily feel comfortable with me ..My work gives clients the space to experience emotions in a safe, and reflective way. The process helps healing, to feel more hopeful and to become more self accepting. It is also a brave and wonderful thing to do for one self.. My purpose is to be a supportive and compassionate presence on the journey. I have over 40 years of experience and have been on both sides of the process. Most people I work with struggle with anxiety, depression, loss, infertility and adoption.
