As a licensed therapist, I believe that prioritizing mental health and achieving balance in our lives is key to functioning at our highest level of personal success and happiness. It takes real courage to ask for help, to be vulnerable, so congratulations on taking this first step!
I have been practicing individual therapy with adults and adolescents for 20 years with a focus on anxiety, stress, depression, and family and relationship issues.
I believe in everyone’s inner strength and ability to self-actualize and achieve their goals given the appropriate tools and support. Therapy is a tool that can help you start your journey in achieving the life you desire. I have 7 years of clinical experience as a social worker. I graduated from Columbia University with a master’s degree in social work and have worked in various settings including hospitals, schools, and universities.
I believe healing is an ongoing journey that looks different for each individual. I invoke a holistic approach and utilize approaches based in psychodynamic theory, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness techniques. As part of the therapeutic process, I want to build a brave space with you, and empower you through your healing journey.
Entering therapy can be intimidating, and that's why I always try to meet people where they are in their process of healing, growth, and change. I'm Bethany, a licensed therapist who helps individuals navigate anxiety, stress, and life transitions with compassion and clarity. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based techniques.
I have spent the last ten years applying my clinical knowledge and love of helping to ensure a safe space that addresses the unique needs of my clients. I have significant experience working with teens, adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Together, we'll explore patterns, build coping tools, and strengthen your connection to yourself and others.
Whether you're feeling stuck or simply seeking balance, I'll meet you where you are and help you move toward the life you want to life. Self-discovery, growth, and healing should be a beautiful journey, as your therapist, I hope to be the vehicle guiding you.
I know reaching out can feel hard, especially when you’re already dealing with a lot. You don’t need to have everything figured out—that’s what this space is for.
If this resonates, I’d be glad to connect whenever you feel ready.
I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the first step toward therapy isn’t always easy, and I believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive place to explore life’s challenges without judgment.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Social Welfare from Stony Brook University and my Master of Social Work from Adelphi University. For the past four and a half years, I’ve worked with teens, adolescents, and adults facing a variety of life’s challenges. I strive to create a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to achieve their goals.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply looking to better understand yourself, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
I chose to become a therapist because I am amazed at the healing process through human connection. As complex beings, I am left in awe at the strength and resilience each individual possesses. I believe that despite difficulties faced, we have the power to rewrite our own story and live to fullest most authentic selves.
Our work together will not only aid you in overcoming any difficulties you may be facing but help understand patterns to develop tools that can be used in everyday life.
I aim to provide a healing space through compassion, support and acceptance. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic theory, however, I often utilize tools from different modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and inner child healing.
I hope to have the opportunity to hear from you and help you achieve your greater self.
Welcome—I’m glad you’re here!
My name is Chaim, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I provide trauma-informed therapy for adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, complex trauma (C-PTSD), low self-esteem, confidence concerns, and relationship challenges.
My approach combines evidence-based care with warmth, curiosity, and compassion.
As a client, you might consider exploring the experiences and patterns that contribute to your struggles while building practical tools to support emotional regulation, healthier relationships, and meaningful change.
I bring a multicultural perspective to my work and strive to offer an affirming, respectful space for people of diverse cultures, identities, and life experiences. Therapy is tailored to your individual needs, values, strengths, and goals—whether you are seeking support independently or as a couple.
You may be healing from painful experiences, feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, navigating relationship conflict, or hoping to reconnect with your confidence and sense of self. You do not have to face it alone.
My goal is to help you move beyond survival and coping toward greater resilience, self-understanding, and a life that feels more authentic, connected, and fulfilling.
I’ve been a psychologist for more than 15 years and have worked in a wide range of settings, including hospitals, residential programs, outpatient clinics, and schools. I work with teens and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and major life transitions. I’ve also worked with entrepreneurs and professionals in technology and finance who may look highly successful on the outside but are dealing with stress, burnout, or feeling stuck underneath it.
I tend to be warm and thoughtful, but I’m also pretty direct. I don’t think therapy should feel like you’re talking while someone just nods at you. I want to understand how you got where you are, what keeps repeating, and what may need to change. I also bring some humor into the room when it feels right. Therapy can deal with serious things without every minute of it having to feel heavy.
