I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) based in Ohio, passionate about walking alongside clients through the challenges of life. I work with adolescent girls and women, with much of my practice focused on college-aged students and young adults navigating various transitions such as moving away from home, balancing school and work, starting a career, beginning a family, and much more. I frequently support clients struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress, emotion management, and relationship concerns. I also offer faith-based counseling for those who want to integrate their spiritual values into therapy.
Therapy can be an exciting and challenging journey. My belief is that you already have the skills to help you along the way, and my role is to help you strengthen those skills and add more to your toolbox. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I graduated with a B.S. in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Scranton (yes, the town from The Office) in 2016 and a B.S.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University in 2018.
Hi, I’m so happy you’re here! My name is Jessica and I have over 10 years of experience working as a therapist with all age groups! I help children and adults who are dealing with life stressors, anxiety, sadness, relationship problems, family conflict, grief and many other mental health problems.
You don't have to have everything figured out to start. Many people who reach out are carrying grief, anxiety, depression, or the weight of trauma, and they just need somewhere safe to bring it. I'm Melissa, an LPCC with nearly 15 years of experience, including over a decade in inpatient psychiatric settings. That background taught me how resilient people really are. I work with adults navigating PTSD, women's issues, life difficulties, and more. I'd love to be part of your journey.
My passion is helping you find your path and your peace. I have been a licensed clinical therapist for nearly ten years, and love what I do. I truly believe we are all just messy humans, doing the best we can every day. I look forward to meeting you!
I am open and honest with all my clients. I have an LISW and have work in the mental health field since I was 21, starting with working in direct care in a child residential facility, to a Workshop for intellectually disabled adults, assistant to psychologist who performed psychological testing, to 4 years as a therapist. Personally I am married with 2 wonderful children and prefer to read novels on my free time.
Most people arrive at therapy carrying something they've never said out loud. My job is to make saying it possible by being someone worth trusting with it.
I've been a practicing counselor for over a decade. I also teach and supervise the next generation of therapists, which keeps me sharp and current. But experience and credentials aren't what makes the work good. What makes therapy work is that I'm a real person in the room with you: direct when that helps, quiet when that helps more. I will never ask you to do something I'm not willing to do myself.
My education isn't limited to my degrees. My clients have taught me more about resilience, compassion, and what it means to live fully than any program did. I hold that as sacred, and I take you as seriously as I take that.
