I am Doris Gardner-Wilson, LCSW, LCDC, CSAT, a Texas-licensed therapist with over 14 years of experience. I specialize in complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, and addiction. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I believe meaningful change begins with transforming the way we think and behave. When we shift our internal patterns, we create space for healthier, more adaptive responses to life’s challenges. While we cannot change the past, we can work together to build new skills that help you navigate the present with clarity and approach the future with confidence.
I specialize in individual counseling for adults and adolescents, offering support for depression, anxiety, anger management, grief, emotional trauma, and adolescent development.
My goal is to help you build resilience, strengthen self‐awareness, and develop practical tools that support lasting, meaningful change.
Therapy is self-care. I want my client's therapeutic experience to be the best one possible as I know they are using the small amount of time they have to work on themselves. I am the therapist I would want for myself. I am collaborative, knowledgeable, I help simplify the complicated, put words to experiences, feelings, and thoughts, and guide clients in what to do with their findings. I am the therapist you do "the work" with.

Welcome! I’m Kristin Petersen, MSW, LICSW, and I’ve been a psychotherapist for more than 13 years. I primarily work with women and individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the many pressures that can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself.
My experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. I’ve supported clients through both everyday challenges and more complex concerns, including trauma, co-occurring conditions, behavioral concerns, and significant life changes. I believe your experiences, relationships, culture, and personal history all matter when understanding what you are going through.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and honest. I won’t simply tell you what you “should” do. Instead, we’ll work together to understand what’s happening, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies that fit your life. I draw from cognitive and person-centered approaches and incorporate solution-focused strategies to help you build insight while also making meaningful changes.
Therapy is a place where you can be honest without fear of judgment. Whether you’re starting therapy for the first time or returning because something in your life no longer feels manageable, my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported while developing the tools and confidence to move forward.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. We can start exactly where you are.
