First of all, I just want to honor you for taking this step to invest in yourself. Working on yourself isn't easy but you don't have to do it alone. I provide a safe and supportive environment with unconditional positive regard and non-judgment. Most of my clients love my positive and upbeat approach. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel vulnerable, and it is completely natural to have questions or feel uncertain about where to begin. You do not have to have everything figured out before you reach out. Therapy offers a supportive space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I believe that healing begins in a safe, compassionate, and respectful relationship. Your story, experiences, and goals matter, and I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs. Whether you are coping with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, intimacy concerns, or other emotional struggles, we will work together to better understand what you are experiencing and create a path forward that feels meaningful and manageable.
Denise Chandler, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP Family Nurse Practitioner • Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner • Women’s Health Specialist
Hello, my name is Denise Chandler. I have been an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse since 2011 and bring more than 23 years of nursing experience. I hold Master’s degrees in Nursing Healthcare Education and Family Practice and am certified in both Family Practice and Psychiatric Mental Health.
For over a decade, I worked exclusively in Women’s Health Care, where I developed a deep understanding of how hormonal changes affect physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Today, I provide care for men, women, and youth ages 14 and older who may be experiencing hormone-related changes, mood disorders, or life transitions.
Common concerns I treat include menopause, perimenopause, PMDD, puberty, and menstrual irregularities such as dysmenorrhea, menorrhagia, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and anemia. I also address sexual health concerns like painful sex, orgasmic dysfunction, and low libido, as well as ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, panic, insomnia, stress, fatigue, and weight management challenges.
My approach emphasizes whole-person care. I order lab work when needed, use genetic testing to guide safer medication choices, and educate on vitamins and supplements that may support healing. I frequently collaborate with therapists and counselors to enhance outcomes.
With clinical experience in neurology, cardiology, mental health, emergency medicine, gynecology, and obstetrics, and years as an educator, I make complex health concepts simple and actionable. Whether in person or virtually, I create a safe, open environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to restore balance and improve quality of life.
I received my B.A. in Psychology and my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University. I am currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and have been within the mental health and substance abuse field for over seven years.
I work with adults, couples, moms, and Black women navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. As a mom myself, I understand the weight of balancing caregiving, relationships, work, and your own emotional well-being. I’m especially passionate about supporting Black women as they navigate the pressures of being “strong,” people-pleasing, and learning to prioritize themselves without guilt.
My practice is inclusive, affirming, and judgment-free. I proudly support LGBTQIA+ individuals, nontraditional and kink-positive relationships, and clients exploring intimacy and sexual wellness through sex therapy. My goal is to create a space where you can show up fully as yourself.
