They often describe feeling stuck, unmotivated, anxious or depressed and revert to unsuccessful habits. Parents often feel drained and overwhelmed. They want tools to reduce conflict and to feel closer to there children pr partner. I will create a space where we can safely explore your thoughts, overcome obstacles and build a more fulfilling life. My work with you will be interactive, compassionate and goal oriented. Whether you have come here to seek relief from pain, guidance with a partner, help building self esteem, or just want more meaning in your life, therapy can help. I commend you on taking this step to emotional health.
I am an LMHC in New York. I have been in private practice since 2015. I obtained my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2012 and began working in a residential setting, providing services to adults with chronic mental illness and substance use disorders, receiving numerous promotions along the way. After 11 years, I decided to move onto something new, obtaining a position as a Clinical Director in an outpatient clinic. I recently decided to pursue my private practice full time.
I am a clinically trained psychotherapist practicing in NJ, NY, MA, and PA. I work with individuals, couples, and families across all ages—from children and teens to college students and busy professionals. I also have experience supporting married couples facing marital challenges.
As a Latina therapist, I understand how culture, family, and life experiences can shape who we are—sometimes in beautiful ways, and sometimes in ways that feel heavy or overwhelming. I work with individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions, or who simply feel stuck and want something to change.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Diagnostic Privilege, a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and an Advanced Certificate in Child & Family Advocacy. Since 2021, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and families from a solution-focused, narrative, and systemic lens.
I believe our mental health is deeply shaped by the relationships and support systems around us. In therapy, we’ll work together to build on your strengths, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful progress toward your goals.
You are the expert in your own life, and I see therapy as a collaborative space centered on your needs. Whether you’re facing stress, relationship challenges, family concerns, or life transitions, I’m here to support you with warmth, curiosity, and practical tools for change.
Welcome! I’m Moradeyo, a compassionate and dedicated Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) practitioner, specializing in helping individuals and couples build stronger, more meaningful connections. My approach centers on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions and find deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships.
With a deep understanding of how our emotional bonds shape our experiences, I use EFT to guide you through the process of identifying negative cycles and patterns that may be causing distress in your relationships. Whether you're struggling with communication issues, emotional disconnection, or past trauma, EFT offers a powerful, evidence-based framework to transform your relationship dynamics and create lasting change.
If you're ready to break free from emotional barriers and create healthier, more fulfilling relationships, I invite you to take the first step with me. Together, we can uncover the deep emotional connections that will help you lead a more balanced and enriched life.
In addition to being a LMHC in the state of NY, I'm also just a human gal navigating life alongside 2 doodles and a cat; creating and interacting with nature plays an important role in my life, but before you think I'm just a calm collected artist haunting the woods mysteriously, I'm also known for sitting on a comfy chair for way too long, re-watching the same shows from the early 2000s, and collecting copious amounts of craft and art supplies that I swear I will use someday.
You've been carrying something heavy — maybe for years. The kind of weight that doesn't show on the outside but makes everything feel harder: getting through a workday, trusting people, feeling safe in your own body. Whether you're navigating trauma, PTSD, OCD, depression, or anxiety — or healing from experiences of sexual or physical abuse — you don't have to keep managing this alone. I work with adults across New York, including women, Black and multicultural clients, and LGBTQ+ individuals who are done shrinking and ready for something to actually shift.
